Master Cook

Meet Master Cook

My Taekwon-Do journey started around 40 years ago with my instructor, Grand Master Thompson. I originally started in Karate and Kickboxing, where I achieved a blackbelt. I strongly believe in exploring both the martial and the art, developing the warrior spirit and promoting self defence, all of which is involved in Taekwon-Do.

Changing to ITF Taekwon-Do opened up numerous opportunities for me, including allowing me the privilege to train with the founder, General Choi Hong Hi IX, on multiple occasions. Additionally, I've had the fortune to travel around the globe, competing internationally, training with fellow practitioners and umpiring internationally as a Class A umpire. Locally, I was a founding member of the Taekwon-Do Association of England where I have been a member of the Technical committee  and blackbelt grading panel since its inception, and I also served on the board of ITF England, as the Director of Ethics and Discipline, for many years.

My journey to 8th degree has been challenging, rewarding and a privillege. The friends and experiences I have gained through the years has made a huge, positive impact on my life outside of Taekwon-Do. I endeavour to continue to pass on my knowledge and passion to my students for years to come.
